Grotesque Victorian Hook
I picked up a pair of antique Victorian hooks while antiquing yesterday. They are currently soaking in some stripper to remove years in paint. Not certain if they are brass or not. We’ll see!

That’s a great find! Curious to see if it turns up brass or not! I’d say it will! Congrats!
Perhaps bronze? I have almost all of the paint removed, just some left in the crevasses. I’m using a soy-based stripper, it takes a little longer but it’s safer and not as stinky. I’ll post more pictures this weekend.
