I’m a compulsive hoarder and semi-reclusive designer living within walking distance of an old Swedish cabin where Siegmund Lubin filmed silent westerns.
This website was established in 1997 as a modest venue to showcase my personal collection of antique illustrated books, ephemera, and vintage photographs while providing people with an alternative to expensive stock images.
The royalty-free vintage clipart that you find within the pages of missmary.com represents many, many hours of scanning and restoration work. It’s a labor of love–I truly would like to see the hidden illustrative gems of yesterday brought to light, and nothing makes me smile so much as seeing the creative things people have made with them.
If you are an old friend, you may remember the free calendar downloads, the newsletters, and the “Quaint & Curious Clip Art Collection.” Although I took some time off to pursue other interests, I am back now and will republish the old favorites as well as post more vintage images and clip art than ever before.
